National Heritage Dataset (SNHD) |
|
The
Selected National Heritage Dataset (SNHD) is a dataset of
selected archaeological sites in England used by Natural England
to pre-populate the maps that are sent to farmers applying
for Entry Level Stewardship (ELS)

assist members and others who use the SNHD, ALGAO has produced
a number of documents which can be downoaded: |

Selected
Heritage Inventory for Natural England (SHINE)
ALGAO,
Natural England and English Heritage are currently working
towards the development of a methodology that will help produce
a dataset of historic environment features that will replace
the SNHD. Work to create the Selected Heritage Inventory for
Natural England (SHINE) dataset is due to commence in Autumn
2008.
